Judy Roy Jackson

Judy was born in Lafayette, LA to Ella and Lanny Roy, Jr. on January 12th, 1959. She went to school at Marrion High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She married William Ross and Coolie Jackson. on (March 1983-2014/ October 2016- present) in Houston, TX. She graduated from Prairie View A&M, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work . She worked and retired as a Texas Works provider at Texas Health and Human Services commission, and a Patient Care Advocate for Devoted Healthcare for where she was deeply loved, and held in high regard.

Judy is remembered by many as a true earth angel, she loved everyone, and she accepted everyone as if they were her very own.

Judy is preceded in death by her mother, Ella Jean Roy, her father, Lanny Roy Jr. Her Grandparents: Annie and Alex Valerie, Julia and Lanny Roy, Sr., her aunt Hilda Slater, her son, William Trey Ross, IV, her brother Lanny Roy, III, and her nephew, David Lee Wilkins, Jr.

Judy is survived by her husband, Khankilis Jackson; her former husband and the father of her children, William Ross III; Her child, Brandy Williams (James), and God Children, Dede Dorsey (Patrick) Zech Miles. Brothers and sisters: Mark Anthony Roy(Monica), Brenda Minix, Mary Jaqueline Broussard, Michael Minix (Clarissa) Regina Roy, Rachel Roy (Andre) Caesar, Roxanne Roy Wilkins, Patrick Perry, Talisha, Tee Tee Perry, Konisha( Chad) Robinson, Alvin Perry. Her Grandchildren: Tiahny Caesar, Trevonne Ross, Triniti Ross, Tyler Caesar, Terrance Ross, and Thais Williams, nieces and Nephews; Tomeka Minix, Damon Roy, Ella Roy Cooks, Kimberlyn Robinson (Joseph), Nelson Galloway, Britney Hunter, Torey Roy, Tiffany Roy, Jimmy Ryan, II, Ashanti Minix, Laken Heckard, Courtney Caesar, Brianna Dureseau, Bria Caesar, her best Friend, Sandra Senegal, and her play daughter, Cheramy Utley as well as many other close family and friends.
