Julia S. Gonzales, Age 96, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. She was born in Pattison, Texas on July 4, 1926 to parents Augustine and Maria Savala. Julia attended school in Pattison, Texas. She had 5 children and last worked for Dr Barry Zeluff, Sandy and daughter Brooke. She retired at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her husband, Esequiel Gonzales Sr, son, Esequiel Gonzales Jr, daughter, Mary Lou Sabala, Mother: Maria Orozco Savala, Father, Augustine Savala, Brothers: Victor Sabala, Jessie Savala, Candido Savala, Joe Savala, Simon Savala, Jimmy Savala and sisters, Elvira Carranza and Andrea Savala. Julia is survived by daughters, Carmen and Roy Sanchez Sr, Pat and Dan Rutherford and Mary and Louis Lee Arredondo, Grandchildren: Julie Sanchez, Roy Sanchez Jr, Robert and Denise Sanchez, Adam Sanchez, Brittany Callihan, Courtney and Joe August, Lorenzo and Issac August, Breanna and Bailey Sanchez, Brian Binford, Benjamin and Reina Binford, Kenneth, Sebastian and Gracie Binford, Martha Arredondo, Hannah and Xavier Bernal, Ethan Long, David Augustine Sabala, Victoria Sabala and Partner Shasta Sexton, Rebecca Ballard, Ashley and Leslie Gonzales. Sisters: Mary Vice, Gloria Herrera, Cecilia Cortez, Virginia Tomson and brother, Fidencio Savala. Numerous: nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Robert Sanchez, Brian Binford, Benjamin Binford, David Augustine Sabala, Christian Sanchez, Andrew Cortez Honorary Pallbearer: Roy Sanchez Jr and Xavier Bernal She will be greatly missed but NEVER forgotten. Visitation for family and friends will begin on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 6pm-9pm with a rosary beginning at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Brookside Funeral Home pending time.
