Born to be strong, she fought from youth until the day she died. There was nothing on this planet that could stop her once she made her mind up. Julia was a member and one of the founders of Grace Cathedral Church. Her faith was in God and she made that known wherever she went. She fought longer and harder then most right until the end. Defying most odds, she chose to go when she was ready.
Julia was born to earthly parents by the name of Ethel Lee Webster and Johnny Gaynor. In her father’s passing, she was later adopted by Edgar Haynes. She grew up with 3 brothers and 2 sisters; Edgar Ray Haynes, Vernon Haynes, Patrick Haynes, Effie Laverne Haynes, and Gwendolyn Willrich.
Julia attended and graduated from Kashmere High School. She worked all her life and retired from Health and Human Services after serving for 22 years. Amongst her many jobs, the most important job of all was being a mother. She leaves behind a daughter Tyesha Haynes and a son-in-law Lavar Thomas. Where you saw one, you saw the other. Not only did she love being a mother she loved being a Grandmother to 2 beautiful grandkids; Aubreigh Thomas and Amari Thomas. She was the proudest grandmother ever.
She also leaves behind nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was always ready to attend games and go to family gatherings. Holidays will be missed without having those anointed hands preparing our meals. She was a great cook and her food tasted as if it came straight from the heart. She will be greatly missed.
God needed you back by his side. We will love you always! Rest In Peace!
