He was born in Mackay, Texas on June 27, 1929 to Ramon and Teresa Bernal.
He was married to Elida Bernal for sixty-one years.
Julian worked and had a career in Welding for Metal Arts Co. and Belmas Company.
He had a passion for gardening, watching baseball games and watching boxing matches. He had a series of hobbies and interest such as dancing, enjoying a variety of music and loved to eat authentic Mexican food.
He was preceded in death by his father; Ramon Bernal, Mother; Teresa Escareño de Bernal, and siblings; Manuela, Carolina, Andrea, Antonia, Adela, Gregorio, Felix and Aaron.
He is survived by his loving wife; Elida Bernal, three sons; Mark A. Bernal, Julian Bernal Jr., John P. Bernal, and a daughter; Carolina C. Bernal, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
