Great memories will last a life time, we met when we were so young. We worked next door to each other,  from there on we became good friends You will be missed my dear friend.

Julio is an amazing human being and I am fortunate to have ever called him a friend. He portrayed himself as a tough guy, which don't get me wrong he was, but he was also one of the kindest people I knew. My first memory of Julio was when I was doing a school function trying to get new members into the Hispanic Scholarship Fund organization and Julio came by to look at our table. I tried my hardest to convince him to come out to our meetings and crack jokes with him, and Julio being Julio smiled and said he'd think about it but likely may not go. The next meeting there he was with a smirk, his leather jacket, and his legendary long slicked back curly ponytail. When I asked him what convinced him to come out he smiled and said "Well I thought I would give it a shot." After that he became a permanent member and was at every event he could make. He would joke and call us lame but there he was recruiting more people and educating others about our scholarship program. He shared his experience with others with a similar upbringing and made real connections. He always helped walk the girls to the cars in the evening or offered a ride if he could.. he was always there. He was the kind of guy who could make fun of you but upbuild you in the same minute. We all felt so comfortable  around Julio that even the guys in our group would share deep feelings/secrets with him. Whenever the girls tried to get Julio to tell us what was going on, it was impossible we couldn't get a thing out of him! He would give you that smirk with the shifty eye look then bust out laughing at our accusations, then he would jump back into mysterious mode. It was hilarious but also frustrating for our nosy selves because he would never spill other's secrets... well not to me anyway. 

You never forget a friend like Julio he will be truly be missed. My condolences to his family.
