

June Veronica Moore (nee McCairns), 80, died peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022, in Lakewood, Colorado. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Moore was born on June 27, 1942, in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of Robert and Agnes McCairns. Along with her parents and siblings, Mrs. Moore migrated to Houston, Texas in 1955. She married the love of her life, James K. Moore, Jr. (“Jim”) in 1976, and the two lived in Houston before retiring to Livingston, Texas in the 1990s. Mrs. Moore will always be remembered for her warm smile, unwavering kindness, and boisterous laughter. She was always the life of the party. She enjoyed playing bridge, travelling, and spending time with friends and family. She was also active in the First Presbyterian Church in Livingston. Mrs. Moore is survived by her son, Jason Moore, daughter-in-law, Annette Moore, granddaughters, Maeve and Maeryn Moore, sister, Rena Gonzales, various nieces and nephews, and a host of friends near and far. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, sister, Eleanor Jahnke, and brothers, David and Robert McCairns. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
