I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Kabel through my son Steven. Kabel had a heart of gold I got the pleasure of watching him love my grandchildren son and our family. What was amazing was seeing him love Amanda and seeing their love grow. Last time I saw him we were folding clothes and I was teasing him cause he was folding faster than me. I also got to tell him how proud I was of him and thank him for loving Amanda the way he did. I’ll cherish the memories of his kind smile and love for life. You will be missed! RIP

Everybody probably has their own kind of special relationship with Kabel. But I guarantee you there is certain pillars of that relationship that ring true for everyone.
I met Kabel back in 2007. He was a long time friend of my wife. When I first met him I had just started dating my wife(13 years ago). He didn’t know me yet and was very protective of my wife. Always saw him as her big brother. I hated him for it at the time. But as time went on, he realized I was not going anywhere, and that I was in fact worthy of being with her. From that day he treated me like a great friend every time we were together. We ended up living on opposite ends of the lake from each other for a few years. Talk about an eventful and exciting few years. We spent countless weekends hanging out and cutting loose. He was my hype man when it was time to cut loose. One of my favorite things about Kabel, was how dedicated he was to helping a friend in need. Talk about a guy that will drop everything and come help you with no hesitation at all. No matter how big or small the need, project, whatever it was. You could always count on him to be there. Then Kabel and Amanda came into each other’s lives in the best way. I watched them both transform into the best part of their lives. It was clear they were meant for each other. Talk about a match made in energy and spontaneous heaven! My kids have a lasting relationship and impression from him. He was such an encourager. I’ve been so proud be his friend, and family member. Rest in peace, I know you will throw us a party we will never forget when we see you again.

Thank you for the memories, and for the stories I will tell for the rest of my life. Love you bro

Kabel always brought a smile to my face whenever I saw him. He had the ability to do that for me, and I will never forget what a pleasure it gave me. We often laughed how he braved hurricane Harvey to save our vehicles and he did. He and Amanda were delightful neighbors and I will always have fond memories of their friendship. Rest in the arms of Jesus now, sweet Kabel, knowing your were well loved by many on this earth and will never be forgotten.

I love you and will always miss you, so much! You became my best friend from the moment I met you. I have and probably will never have a connection with another soul like we had. You’ll never run up to me again yelling and just smiling from ear to ear, hugging me so hard. We used to say we’d get married if we were still single at 35. You’d send me Mother’s Day cards lol I’m so glad you found real love in your life. I’ll miss you every second of everyday. Love you to the max, forever
