Karen Kay Angst

May 16, 1948October 2, 2021

Karen Kay Angst, born in Houston, Texas to Conrad and Wanda Angst on May 16, 1948, went to meet her Maker October 2, 2021 after a long battle with cancer and numerous other ailments. She was the second of 5 children. She never married, but leaves behind: 1 brother Lonnie Angst (wife Kathryn), 3 Sisters, Wanda Johnson, Elaine Suchanick and Barbara Forget (husband Lou), a bevy of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins and even more than a few Great Nieces and Great Nephews. She was also loved by numerous co-workers and friends. Karen was a colorful, bohemian, passionate, caring woman. She was a Registered Nurse who spent 30 years working at St. Joseph’s Hospital and another 20 working with Hospice Care. She spent her life assisting and caring for others. She loved playing bingo, reading books, collecting music, watching movies, trying new foods and finding the perfect eclectic decorations. Although she herself found it difficult to be a patient rather than the nurse, she was always offering bits of advice to her loved ones on how to better care for themselves. She enjoyed getting friends and family to try new foods or teas that she had found. Karen was generous to her loved ones and those less fortunate. She will be missed. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.AdvantageHoustonFunerals.com for the Angst family.

Always willing to give anyone the shirt off her back, Karen made friends everywhere she went. The last couple years were hard but she never let her illness get her down. Flying high with the Angels now, Sis! We will miss you.
