Karen Marie Moore

1953-2016

Our beautiful sister, aunt and beloved friend Karen Marie Moore, age 63 passed away on Saturday, the 12th of November 2016, in Sugar Land, Texas after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Karen studied business at Rice University in Houston. She held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Commerce, from the University of Houston and an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Interior Designs, from the Art Institute of Houston. She created beautiful homes as owner/president of Moore Interiors Inc. She was a very active member of the American Society of Interior Designs, and the Healing Circles of Houston.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Schreiber, and brother George Schreiber, Jr. of Bethlehem, PA. She is survived by her sisters; Barbara Shannon (Jim Pickens), of Collegeville, PA. and Cindy Ohman (Kris), Sugar Land, TX. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Kristian Shannon (Tracy), of Quakertown, PA, Thomas Schreiber, of Leipizig, Germany, Connor Shannon (Jodie), of Collegeville, PA, Bridget Shannon, of West Chester, PA, Caitlin and Miles Ohman, Sugar Land, TX,. Great nieces and nephews; Arianna, Madeline, Gabrielle and Owen all from PA. She is also survived by her longtime companion Bruce Levy.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with family from seven o’clock until nine o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 17th of November 2016, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

A funeral service is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 18th of November 2016, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where Rev. Mindy Lawrence, Associate Minister of Pastoral Care at Unity of Houston is to officiate.
