In memory of Kassie, who I first met at the vet’s office when she helped me carry my cat. she was one of those rare people who simply gave of herself. She would come by to play with the cats in case I needed her to cat sit. when I was dealing with car trouble and other problems, this 30-year-old—working at the vet’s office, going to college, and raising an eight-year-old son—offered to loan me her car and went out of her way to help, including giving me a ride after a medical procedure. Kind, calm, and generous in a way that’s hard to find. My heart is broken for her little boy and everyone who loved her. Rest peacefully, Kassie. We need more like her. Helpful without hesitating. Bless her & her family.
