Katherine Lea Conrad known as Kathy to her family and friends went to her Heavenly home early on the morning of May 23, 2018. Kathy was born on April 22, 1958 in Wareham, Massachusetts as one of eight children born to the late Mrs. Pauline and Mr. Bill Elliott, retired Technical Sergeant of the U.S. Air Force. She graduated in 1976 from T.R. Robinson High School while residing in Tampa Florida. Shortly after her graduation she relocated and settled in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Jerry Conrad, her two daughters; Julia Becker, husband Clay Ratcliff and Jessica Crider, husband Michael; Grandchildren; Caden, Alayna, John and Delilah, three brothers; Gary Elliott, wife Suzanne, Robert Elliott, wife Kathy and James Elliott, four sisters; Rebecca Perrine, Sharon Veazey, Bonnie Klein, husband Michael Gibbons, Judi Bruckner, husband Edward and countless loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including her adopted Houston First Church of the Nazarene, Tulsa Central Church of the Nazarene, and Cancer Treatment Centers of America Tulsa families and friends. Kathy was very proud of her work as a pre-school teacher, A/C sales secretary, and Dietary Manager. She loved spending time with her cherished grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting, volunteering at Volunteers of America-Lavender House, gardening and decorating one heck of a Christmas Tree (all things Christmas) in her spare time. She was devoted to God and her family. Kathy nobly battled the disease of cancer for nearly 20 years, all while inspiring others with her strong will, dignity, grace, positive outlook, beautiful smile and unfaltering faith in Christ. In lieu of flowers, Kathy’s wish was that memorial donations be made to Winning Women For Christ Inc, PO Box 730611, Ormond Beach, FL 32173. The Memorial Service will be held at Houston First Church of the Nazarene, 10001 West Sam Houston Parkway N, Houston Texas 77064 on June 2 at 1pm.
