Kathryn Kyle Blankenhorn

Kathryn was born on February 25, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee to Francis and Joanne Richards. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1971 & attended Texas Tech University. Kathryn worked as a home economics teacher and completed her career in human resources.

Kathryn was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, where she was very active in the community and volunteered at Joseph’s Coat. In addition, she was very active in the Houston Area Parkinson’s Society and the community at her apartment complex.

Kathryn enjoyed gardening, reading, playing board games and spending time with family and friends. Her generosity, smile, laugh and fun-loving spirit will be remembered and greatly missed by all that knew her.

Kathryn is preceded in rest by her father, Francis J. Richards. Kathryn leaves behind many family members to cherish her memory; her mother, Joanne Richards; her children, Elizabeth and her husband, Matthew Miller, Sarah and her husband, Brian Kondrach, and Andrew Blankenhorn; her grandchildren, Johnathan Miller, Victoria Kondrach and Otto Kondrach; her siblings, Joseph Richards and his wife, Ange, Michael Richards and his wife, Laurie, Christopher Richards and his wife, Carol; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Kathryn will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary at 6:00 PM, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas 77079. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, Texas 77079. Committal service will be Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas 77079.
