Kathryn Marshall Breard

Kathryn Marshall Breard, 64, passed away in the early morning hours of March 10th, 2023 at her home after a long battle with the terrible disease Multiple Sclerosis. Kathy was born December 14th, 1958, in Houston, Texas, to Joyce and Hulen Marshall. The youngest of three children, she was raised with her sister Dianne, her brother Mike, and her niece Laura Landen. In January 1982, she married her beloved husband of 41 years, Stephen Breard. Together, they had two daughters, Stephanie and Holly; and an adopted son, Ben. At the age of 39, Kathy began to exhibit symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis, was diagnosed at 40 and has bravely fought a long hard fight for the last 24 years. Kathy was a burst of fresh sunshine wherever she went. Not only was she beautiful inside and out, but she was also incredibly fun to be around and always made everyone laugh. She had a passion for animals and always said she never met an ugly dog. She surrounded herself with the people she loved the most – her family and friends. She was everyone’s favorite person, and her joy for life was simply infectious. She is survived by her husband H. Stephen Breard; daughters, Stephanie Morales and husband Robbie of Hockley, and Holly Breard and fiancée Sam Nickerson of Houston; son, Ben Madison and wife Nichole of Fayetteville; and granddaughters Makenna and Maren Madison and Serena and Everly Morales. Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, father, and her sister Dianne Landen. A viewing will be held for Kathy, Friday, March 17th, 2023, from 4 pm - 8 pm at Brookside Funeral Home – Cypress Creek, located at 9149 Hwy 6 N, Houston, Texas 77095. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at 1 pm, also at Brookside Funeral Home – Cypress Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SPCA or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
