Kathryn Caroline Brumlow

Kathryn Caroline Brumlow, age 101, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019. She was born July 13, 1917 in Houston, Texas. On August 10, 1935, Kathryn married Alva Lee Price Brumlow, Sr. and shared a life together for 77 years.

For over 40 years, she worked at downtown Foley's Department Store . Kathryn was a member of Airline Baptist Church for many years and earned over 27 pins for not missing a day of Sunday school in 29 years. She and her husband also worked in Training Union.

Left to cherish her memory, Kathryn is survived by her daughter-in-laws, Jeanette Brumlow of Houston, TX and Linda Brumlow of Gainesville, TX; grandchildren, Beverly Blankenship and spouse David of Eureka Springs, AR, Delena Brumlow of Gainesville, TX, Wayne Brumlow and spouse Miroslava of Houston, TX, and Lee Brumlow, III and spouse Margarita of Seabrook, TX; great-grandchildren, Tristan Brumlow of Gainesville, TX, Amanda Willoughby and spouse Cory of Fayetteville, AR, Brittany Copeland and spouse Chase of Gainesville, TX, Brandy Brumlow of Houston, TX, Allen Brumlow, III of the US Marine Reserves, Travis Blankenship and spouse Kelsey of Centerton, AR, and Mia Brumlow of Seabrook TX.

A visitation for Kathryn will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. The funeral service will occur Friday, June 21, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with the committal service immediately following at Brookside Memorial Park. .
