It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn Ann Ehrhardt, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on July 25, 2019. She peacefully passed away at her Baytown home after bravely fighting a long illness. Her funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 31 at Memorial Oaks, Dignity Memorial Funeral Home; 13001 Katy Fwy., Houston, TX 77079.
Kathryn was born in Baton Rouge, LA on August 15, 1943. She is survived by her husband, Leon and her three daughters: Susan Denniss of Kenner, LA; Rhonda Goller of Atlanta, GA; Janet Spann (Jason) of Houston, as well as her siblings Glenn Turner (Margaret) of Nashville, TN; Harold Turner (Carolyn) of Zachary, LA; Gloria Cook of Houston; and Genelle Robishaw (Paul) of Houston. She is also survived by the grandchildren that she adored – Ryan and Lauren Denniss; Daniel, Katie and Kylie Goller; and Nathan, Jake and Tyler Spann. She is preceded in death by her parents Addie Mae Raborn and Clifton Daniel Turner, and siblings Ray Turner; Beverly Gayle; and Christine Turner.
Kathryn had such a love for nature and animals. Her backyard was an oasis that brought joy to her through the years. Animals were naturally drawn to her sweet and caring nature, including the many birds in the backyard to the cats that ‘found’ her. She also loved to travel everywhere, especially if it meant being with her daughters and grandchildren.
After graduating from Zachary High School, she attended William Carey University in Mississippi. She cherished her days working at the Nibble Nook at Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly as a young woman. Later in life, she took great pride in working in home health care, where her caring nature shined through.
Kathryn endured a long and difficult illness with her husband Leon by her side caring for her with love and devotion. She will be missed dearly, and we look forward to the day that we will see her again in Heaven.
