It has been nine years today and I am sure you are still the little feisty one just like you were here.  Miss you Kathy so much.  I will be so glad when 2024 gets here, the whole world is about to change for the better. You probably already know that so you know what I mean.  That dream I had with you and me driving into a calm ocean and them going over land that had hills and craters but at the end all came out smooth,  that's they way it be in 2024. Today is your birthday August 23,  you would have been 62 today, and when you were asked years ago on your birthday you would always say 29, and you are 29 in Heaven you are young, vibrant, healthy and you shine, Wow I miss you so much still to this day it seems like yesterday we spoke on the phone, laughed, joked oh how I would love to hear your voice just one more time you ask me, Did you eat yet, every time we spoke you would always ask me that and to hear it one more time.   Kathy my beloved sister you meant so much to me that I didn't know how much you meant to me until you were gone, people take things for granted and in doing so they loose so much.  AAsher laughs a lot but the other day when he laughed, it wasn't his laugh it was your laugh, even Kerri heard it, I know you are with AAsher and to let us know that, you have given him your laugh, that is the only thing I have to hold onto now is to hear your laughter come from AAsher.

Another Christmas without you and the missing you is still there just as strong as it was two years ago when you left us. I miss you so much Kathy not a day goes by that I don't think of you.  The holidays are not the same and I try to make them better each year but it just doesn't happen. I miss my buddy, my best friend my sister. i know you were there for Ann, Baby Rooster and Susie, yep Susie left us a couple of weeks ago. My dear sister Kathy oh how the loneliness sets in at times.  Fred and I sit on the steps every morning and I look I to the sky and think of you. Tyler got married June 4 and he has a son I know you see it al and I know you were at Tyler's wedding. I have been keeping in touch with Rita and carolyn.  In fact I need to have lunch with Rita again it has been awhile. With all my love to you Kathy I miss you.

Christmas just wasn't the same without you here. I sure do miss you dearly. The New Year is not the same either. We would have been in Louisiana by now enjoying ourselves, I don't even go there anymore, not the same without you.  Even the game room isn't the same without you.  There is a void in my life and there is nothing that can fill that void since you left. To hear your voice or to see the smile on your face is what I long for. I know you are so happy where you are and I know the pain that I feel gets easier over the years but for now the pain of you gone is hard to bear at times. I love you so much and miss you. Yesterday was 8 months since you left us and went to Heaven. I thought of you all day and shed tears of sadness missing you so much. But then the happy thoughts would come and the tears were replaced by happiness remembering our good times. Happy Birthday in Heaven my precious Aunt! I love you so much & miss you something awful! I am not looking forward to this day but just knowing you are in Heaven with all the ones who passed before you makes me smile. I love you Aunt Kathy

My heart is so heavy as our birthday approaches. We'll be 30 this year RIGHT..RIGHT Aunt Kathy. Oh stop laughing lol. When someone spends 41 years celebrating their birthday with someone as special as you it's hard, very hard, to face that day again without them. I was going over your facebook the other day & reading all the posts you had written before you passed & I couldn't stop the tears from falling. Soooooo many of my recipes I posted on my timeline where you are telling me to stop cause it's not fair, the pictures I have of you & I, the video's, the funny moments of us celebrating our birthday OMG the world need not know LOL, the precious memories that I have sitting outside Billy's house smoking a ciggy with you, the trips to the casino. My heart hurts so frigging bad right now this week has sucked & it's just 3 more days till the tears really start falling. I think of you & I start crying like a baby. What happened to the strong Tiff? when it comes to my precious Aunt Kathy I'm all mush. By the way..I know you & Tricia have been flying around my tree daily, all day y'alls butterfly wings are pale yellow & white. It's such a beautiful sight. The other day, y'all were fluttering up & down the pecan trees, round & round & landed on my hummingbird feeders. Y'all were sitting side by side it made me smile & then I caught a tear rolling down my cheek. Just today, in the light rain, there y'all were again. fluttering between the rain drops, around the tree, up & down landing on the pecan tree. I am in process of having a butterfly house built & I will feed y'all cause I want those pretty, serene butterflies around me at all times & never go away, even though y'all have been here everyday, all day since June 26th. I love you & miss you soo soo much.

Aug 20 just 3 more days and you will be 29 again. I had a dream with you in it and I could see you plain as day and you were young yes I would say in your 20's. I couldn't see your face because you were bending over writing something but I knew it was you. Gosh how I miss you I love you so much.

It is time for me to finally settle in one place now, the family has been so caring making sure that I have been talking care of myself since you left me. It has been hard really hard at times for me to handle the days alone. I moved in with Sissy months ago but staying in Pasadena was just too close to where you had lived so I would spend time with Brian and his family doing the week. Thank goodness for a caring family I love them all.  I miss you so much that a day does not go by that you are not on my mind. I received papers from Brookside Funeral home, the papers contained information about you being buried with Mom, it brought back so many memories Kathy so much sadness so much of missing you. I wish you were here so many times I wish you were still here. You are my buddy, my best friend my everything. I love you Kathy.

Aunt Kathy I want to acknowledge that you have been with me the last few days. I was missing you and put a little something on facebook and the next morning I woke up to a tear going down my cheek. Then yesterday a red cardinal landed on Josephine's back and she kept walking around with this bird on her back and when I turned to come inside for my phone to take a picture, it flew away. I had a lot of people tell me that when a red bird appears that it is a loved one letting us know they are ok. I believe that bird was you. I miss you so much and I wish that you were still here. I love you, my heart finished breaking when you passed away. I am loving all the little signs from you, the dreams where you & I are in a restaurant laughing and talking about stuff that is currently happening, the tear going down my face, the bird, smelling your perfume this morning...for all of these signs I am grateful and I read you loud and clear. I love you my precious Aunt and I miss you soo soo much. I look forward to thew next sign that you give. Thank you for being with Maggie in her time of need. I know you were with her all night beside her praying for her. I could feel you leave at 7 am the next morning and I knew things were all ok.  Cuddle bear missed Maggie and was so happy to see her the next day he slept with her for an hour. The love between them is so strong.  Thank you Lord for letting Kathy come and sit with Maggie all night. Our Lord is wonderful, loving, caring and is always with us. I love you baby sister and I miss you dearly.

I miss you so much. Mom & I went to see Aunt Sue the other day and Aunt Sue gave me a bag of pictures that was supposed to go to you. It included pictures of my great great great grandma that I had never seen before, pictures of grandpa Smallwood, pictures of you and Mike. You always had a smile on your face. Each time I go to Bingo, I look for your car in the parking lot.

January 27, 2015 we laid you to rest with Lil Bits ashes beside you. As soon as they lowered your vault in to Moms grave, a feeling of peace came over me and I stopped crying, I could feel how happy you were now, all your wishes came true. I miss you Sis and I would love to hear you say to me, "Have you ate yet", you always said that every time you called me, if I could hear that just one more time. Give Mom, Dad and Lil Bit, Poncho and Nikki a hug and kiss for me and take your arms wrap them around you and give yourself a big hug for that is from me. I love you and I miss you so much.

Aunt Kathy, my sweet Aunt Kathy, I know you are in heaven and in no more pain. I take comfort in knowing you ARE with our Lord and savior and there is no doubt in my mind that you were met at the entrance by grandma,grandpa,BJ, Tricia,Uncle Ned,Aunt Bea,Harold and so many who have gone on before you. I never thought this day would happen so soon. It kills me. I am so so so gonna miss our daily talks, our laughter shared together, the secrets, the getting mad at someone who did you wrong and everything we shared. I know in time the tears will be less but right now I can't stop them as they flow down my cheeks as I think of you and your last 3 years here on Earth. I love you and even though I am unable to attend the funeral because I am sick, I cherish the time I spent with you in the hospital. My sister, Kathy was our friend and our Family Nurse. If you had an ailment, Kathy was the Go To person. Kathy and I did alot of Boot Scootin at Gilley's Club in Pasadena Texas. Quite often she would simply say, "I'm ready to go to Louisiana (she was The Gambler of the family). So we'd pack up and go to Louisiana. After Mom's passing, Kathy lived with me and my wife. once a year for the last 3 years she would put on her Nurse uniform and stethoscope and go to a child care facility to mentor the kids in nursing and medical care.

Kathy, You were such a kind and loving person.  I know that you are most welcome in heaven.

We have a lot of good memories of Kathy on the summer holidays in arkansas when they came down to lakeport to visit granny all ways had a smile and a nice word to say go ing to miss her

Kathy, my first childhood friend, The kindest and most loving person I have ever known. I am very thankful to have had such an amazing person in my life. I know that you are no longer in pain, and you are sitting with our Lord. I will cherish all the memories I have. May your family and friends take comfort in knowing that you are an extraordinary angel watching over us all.

Dear sweet Kathy. May you rest in peace. Clint and I will for ever cherish all those many fun times together. We absolutely adored that infectious laugh of yours and can still hear it to this day. We love you!

My Sister, My Buddy, My Bestfriend - I called you the other day on the phone just to see how you were doing and tell you that I love you, but there was no answer and then it hit me that there will be no more phone calls and no more picking you up to take you to see AAsher no more taking you gambling and no more seeing your face and hearing your voice, the pain of all that is so strong to know that you have left us to be with our Lord, Mom and Dad. You mean so much to me, the secrets we had, the stories we told one another, the fun, the laughter the sadness we both shared with one another.  Losing my Sister and especially my Buddy and my bestfriend will take a long time to heal. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you, I turn around and can see that you are still here with me and I cherish that moment. I miss you so much Kathy. I love you, I love you, I love you.
