Keith Francis Angel

July 22, 1958September 28, 2021

Keith Francis Angel will be remembered for many things: his warmth, his kindness, his generosity, his stoic personality. But above all else, he will be remembered for a deep and abiding love for his family. He passed away at home unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 28th, 2021.

Keith was born on July 22, 1958 to Frank and Gayle Angel in Utica, Michigan. During childhood he spent time in Italy and Turkey before returning to Michigan, and he graduated from Kirkwood High School in Kirkwood, MO, where he was recently inducted into the KHS Athletic Hall of Fame. He played football at the University of Oklahoma and in 1981 graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. Keith had a long and fulfilling career in the oil and gas industry, working on wells across the United States and in places as far-flung as Alaska, Trinidad and Tobago, and most recently as a Senior Production Engineering Advisor for Chevron for operations off the coast of Ecuatorial Guinea. During his life, Keith could often be found using his time to give back: teaching Sunday school, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together Houston, donating blood, generally using his love and talents to improve the lives of those around him.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Karen, his mother Gayle, daughters Alyson and Carissa (John), and the newest apple of his eye, grandson Luke, stepdaughters Delara Nazanin Aubon and Sahar Aubon, siblings Kathy Rapp (Todd), Kendra Dobson (Elwin), Kevin Angel (Ann), and other family, friends, and colleagues far and wide. He was preceded in death by his father Frank as well as stepdaughters Nasim Arab and Juju Arab.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Katy, TX on Wednesday, October 6th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society or Habitat for Humanity.
