

Born on October 31, 1959, in Port Arthur, Texas, Keith Marks passed away on June 4, 2026.
A talented athlete, Keith attended the University of Alabama, where he played football under legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant and helped the Crimson Tide secure National Championships in 1978 and 1979. He graduated in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and business administration.
Keith enjoyed a successful 26-year career with Houston Distributing Company, where he was recognized as a top salesman and earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike.
Known for never meeting a stranger, Keith had a gift for connecting with people. His kindness, compassion, and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. He loved fitness, golf, watching football, and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed spending time watching The Andy Griffith Show.
Keith is survived by his mother, Gloria Marks; his siblings, Pastor Robert Emmett “Bobby” Marks Jr. (Stephanie); Jared Marks (Dianne); his nephew Michael Marks (Elizabeth) and their children Mary Katherine and Ben; nieces Shaelyn Marks, Lindsey England (Allen), Lauren Dobbs (Colin) and their son Teddy; his aunt Linda Heck, cousin Ashley Springer (Chris) and their children Avery and Emily; cousins Cindy Brown, Bobby, Alan and Wayne Henson along with many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Emmett "Bobby" Marks Sr.; grandparents Fred and Adell Mueller, Bob and Ann Henson, his uncle's Wayne Mueller, and Robert James “Jimmy” Henson.
Keith will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
