On Saturday June 22, 2019 Kelli Renee Roper passed on to her new life. She departed valiantly, just as she lived, after succumbing to her three-year courageous battle with cancer. During her fight, as in her life, she was surrounded by her family and friends, and she leaves behind a legacy of hard work, enduring friendships and strong family bonds.
Kelli was born in Houston, Texas on November 15, 1974 to her father and hero Richard Lee Roper and her loving and dedicated mother, Margaret Roper. After graduating from Dayton High School in 1993, she began her professional career in the shipping industry working with Bill and Mike Higgins who mentored her career advancement up to the position of LCL Manager. Kelli’s dedication to the shipping industry was anchored in perfection and motivated by customer service. She led by example and set the standard for others to follow.
Following the death of her father, her family commitment to her mother was inspiring. Her niece and nephew, Cassidy and Richard had a special bond, just as her relationship with sister Jana and husband Mike Graves. While Kelli leaves many close friends and family behind, she also leaves behind an example of perseverance and the importance of family and friends.
