Ken grew up on a farm and after high school he left for the city. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1960 with a Bachelors of Business Arts. After serving a brief enlistment in the U.S. Army tank division, he found his way to Corpus Christi where he met the love of his life, Mary, and they married in 1965.
Ken never met a stranger and always had a way with words. He used that special gift working in sales throughout his career. He was an entrepreneur and retired in the late 90’s so that he and his wife could travel and enjoy their grandkids. While he enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, he also loved the outdoors, gardening, and was especially fond of the Texas Hill Country where he spent many years on a hunting lease. He will be forever missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ben Jr., Kermit, Calvin, and Jimmie Rosenblad, and sisters Elizabeth Sanford and Marian Powers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Mary Rosenblad; son, Lance Rosenblad and wife Terra; grandchildren, Harris Rosenblad, Travis Rosenblad, and Lara Rosenblad, along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2pm with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made “In Memory of Kenneth Rosenblad” to MD Anderson Cancer Center, www.MDAnderson.org
