Terry I never met Kevin but I must admit he has your smile.  It sounds like he enjoyed and excelled at life.  I am truly sorry for your loss but I know you are surrounded by friends and family that will help you through this tragic loss.

Hey Kevin, for someone that loves to hear myself talk, words are hard to find now. What a wonderful time being a teenager part of the Bear Creek Gang. For a couple of years there we were together everyday. I'll be remembering the good times, because thats all there were. Surfing trips, general mischief, and riding to school in that Mustang II. God Bless you Kevin. It's been many years since we'd seen each other but I still think of you at your Ranch outside of Tyler, showing off your pups. Let's see, Hunter, Hamilton & Jaimeson? You were such a sweet man, a great boss & a generous person. You always felt better sharing what you had with your friends. In the last 10+ years you would randomly cross my mind whenever stories of Tyler and day trading were told. You're sweet soul will continue to cross my mind in the future. XO

Dear Duck (high school nick name that lasted forever),

I don't even know how to begin to accept the fact that you're gone. For more than 30 years, you have truly been one of my best friends and one of the most influential people in my life, and I will never forget you. God, I can't even picture your face without laughing. How many thousands of hours did you and I and Steve spend in the ocean riding waves together? How many miles were spent in the 80's driving through the night along the Texas coastline looking for waves? The concerts in the 90's, campouts at the pier, the stock trading years, long polemic talks and laughs about religion and politics, and our shared love for books – Russian literature for me, history for you (here is where Kevin crunches on his cigar like Churchill).  And when the Millennium brought us to the Tyler ranch, the snow fell and again, we laughed (I thought you and Steve would pass out from laughing so hard at me driving that hell-bound four-wheeler I named ‘crazy mule'!)  My memories are simply endless. And then later still, amid the gentle pines of Briar Forest, how kind and cool you were to my son Christian. He loved you very much and will miss our surfs and skateboards and visits and magnificent talks. What an interesting person you are, my friend. And as you know, I say that rarely. You have the heart of Teresa, the temperment of Charlie Sheen, the flair of Morrisey, the pain of Hamlet, the tongue of the Shrew, the humor of Hicks, the wit of Fields, the ideals of Kennedy, and the quixotic dreams of a schoolboy . . . Kevin, my family loves you and values you and will miss you more than words can ever express. (Second from the right in pic.)

Kevin~ You started out as one of my boss's (which I still find quite funny) but in the end you became a friend. The love you gave quietly to each of us at the Tyler office will never be forgotten. Still to this day I wonder which you loved more...Dogs, U2, reading or your baby sister Leah ? Thank you for the memories and the laughter, you will never be forgotten.

You were one of the most genuine human beings I have ever encountered, one of the funniest people I have ever met and someone who I felt took my ideas and opinions seriously even at a young age. My dad was so lucky to have been close with you his whole life, and to have such a great friend to share life with. I'm so glad I got to experience that with you too. I hope you can find peace wherever you are Because you deserve it. You deserve to feel the love that everyone had for and and rest assured, it will forever radiate around you. Love you Kevin

     Kevin has been a loved and cherished friend of mine for 32 years. I share in your loss. I know he loved you all dearly and he will be missed.
     Duck my friend, I told you the world was a better place with you in it and I meant it with all my heart. It's rare in life to have a friend like you for a day let alone 32 years. I'm so greatful for the time we spent together,  you will always be part of who I am. Your wit and humor have left me in tears of laughter more times than I could possibly count will be missed more than words can describe buddy. I'm so sad that there will be no new ones for the books but I will always take the olds ones with me where ever I go. Although you professed you didn't believe in God I pray that you changed your mind in the end because I plan to surf with you again in heaven. Thank you for being my friend, for making me laugh, and for loving my family. My children are lucky to have had you in their life and they loved you.
