Kheam Huy Ngo

Born on September 27, 1939, in southern China, Kheam later moved to Cambodia where she married Chung Peel Taing. Her time in Cambodia soon was met with unimaginable hardship, losing her husband and three of her children during the Khmer Rouge. However through her strength, determination and sacrifice, she rebuilt her life in Houston, Texas with her three children. Her life stands as a testament to resilience, hope, and the enduring power of a mother's love.

Kheam was not only a survivor, but she was also a Christian warrior whose faith guided every aspect of her life. She is known for her steadfast devotion to God, her gentle spirit, and her deep love for her family. She spent her spare time praying and reading her Bible and found fellowship at the River Oaks Chinese Baptist Church. She loved Jesus deeply and turned to Him for strength and encouragement during life's trials. Her trust in God is unwavering, living each day as a faithful servant. She is now at peace and united with God and we will all greatly miss her.

Kheam Huy Ngo passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the age of 86. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kert Keang Taing and Boi Ngoc Phu; her son, Leng Keang Taing; and her daughter and son-in-law, Sue Keang Taing and Johnny Ea Ny. She also is survived by her loving grandchildren, Miranda Lynn Taing, Matthew Thomas Taing, and Sean Taing Ny. She also is survived by her loving great grandson Cooper Alexander Lee and cousins in the U.S. and Cambodia .

Please join us as we honor and celebrate Kheam’s life. Visitation will be held at Pecan Venue on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 5PM to 8PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. The funeral will be held the following day, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the same location. Service will begin promptly at 10AM. A luncheon will follow at Hibachi Grill & Buffet, 12183 Katy Fwy H, Houston, TX 77079.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
