He is survived by his wife and companion of 54 years; daughters, Priscilla Yung and Brenda Yung; son-in-law Eric Gorny; grandchildren, Alan, Emily and Alyssa; daughter Grace Yung and seven sisters and their families.
Kim dutifully served the British Government as a Revenue Inspector and Narcotics officer in Hong Kong for 20 years before moving his family to Houston in 1976. As a provider and loving family man, Kim became a very accomplished restaurateur where he owned and operated 4 successful restaurants. He was also a well-respected real estate broker for over 30 years specializing in restaurant transactions.
Honest, kind, generous and loyal, Kim will be greatly missed by his adoring family, friends and community.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00pm and a service of remembrance and celebration of Kim's life will be held Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 3:00pm, both in Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
