King "Sonny" Wong

King graduated from Aldine High School and received his high school diploma. He met Margarita Wong in Houston, Texas and they were married on November 6, 2021. King had a career as an electrical engineer at The Houston Highway Department for over 30 years. He was a member of Sheriffs Association of Texas and had a passion for fishing and golf.

King is preceded in death by his first wife, Bobby Wong; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Wong.

King is survived by his loving wife, Margarita Wong; sister, Merline Taylor; son, Mark Wong and wife Lynn; stepdaughters, Tammy Brown and Angelique Gorom Driver; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rachel and Ruben, and David Hernandez; as well as numerous other family members; nieces and nephews, grandson Matthew Wong, and friends.

A visitation for King will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location, with a committal service to follow at 11:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, at the same address.
