I can't believe it's been a year since you left us to be with the Lord. I miss you my brother.

I’ve known Kirk for many years and I can truly say that he was one of the most kindest persons I have ever met.  He also had a big heart and would do almost anything to help his friends.   I cannot believe he is not on this earth any longer and will miss him for the rest of my life.  My prayers to Kirk and all his family.  Rest in peace and power.

I remember when Kirk tried out for Madison's football team. He was hit so hard at practice one day that he quit and was back on the tack the next day. I was clear that he was going to the Olympics instead of a Super Bowl. I last saw him in 1985 but I'm sure he will be missed by all that knew him.

My good thoughts, prayers and condolences go to Kirk’s family and all those he leaves behind.  My memories of Kirk go back over 40 years ago to when we were both skinny young teenagers at Johnston Junior High School.  I remember Kirk’s smile, laughter and kindness most of all.  I guess he was fast too.  Never was really aware of that until I was watching the 1984 summer Olympics and yelled out, “That’s Kirk Baptiste from Johnston!”  It was a very cool achievement and yet it’s clear to see from the generous comments that he was not defined by just his gifts as an athlete.  He was a good man.  May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Cant believe I'm writing this Kirk, I know Heaven opened its doors with arms stretched and the voice saying Well done my good and faithful Servant. Rest in Paradise my friend and save me a spot.

We met Kirk 3 years ago when we had our family brunch with the Baptiste's 2018 in December! Kirks brother Austin is married to our oldest daughter. I felt like I knew him before. He was kind, loving and very easy to talk to.
