Kitty graduated from Barstow High School. She met Terry in Barstow, CA and married on November 28, 1980. Kitty had a passion for gardening, cooking and entertaining. Having her family and friends around her brought her great joy. Kitty was a member of First Baptist Barstow Church. She was baptized in Barstow, CA May 27, 1962. Kitty also loved to travel, and some of her favorite trips were to Ireland and Mexico. She would never turn down a get away with her daughter Jill. Kitty will always be remembered as a loving and giving person who would light up a room. She was a mom to everyone who came through her door.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Doris Hawkins; brother, Jerry Hawkins; and grandparents, Lee and Alpha Duke.
Kitty is survived by her husband, Terry Hixson; daughter, Jill Bauer (Scottey Bauer); sisters, Linda McCord, and Patsy Wellman; brother, Tommy Hawkins.
A special acknowledgement to Stephanie and Brett Logan, Grace Laderer, and the Bedair family.
Serving as pallbearers are Ruven Andrade, Scottey Bauer, Bobby Jack Bedair, Riley Hawkins, Shawn Hawkins, Daren Saenz, Wesley McCann and Stephanie Logan.
