Born in Houston on the 1st of March 1977, Kristen was the beloved daughter of Janeen S. Fertitta and Ernest H. Cannon, and the cherished stepdaughter of Julian Fertitta II. A bright light from the very beginning, Kristen lived a life marked by generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those around her. Her warmth and genuine kindness will be remembered forever by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kristen attended Vanderbilt University and The University of Texas at Austin. She graduated with a degree in Marketing and was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Following graduation, she began her professional career in New York City, gaining valuable experience before returning home to Houston.
Upon her return, Kristen founded her namesake public relations firm, The Cannon Affair: PR Studio, where she became known for her creativity, professionalism, and ability to build meaningful relationships. Through her work, she helped countless organizations, businesses, and charitable causes tell their stories and achieve their goals. She went on to direct the public relations and business development for international jeweler, Valobra Master Jewelers.
While Kristen was highly respected professionally, it was her servant's heart that truly defined her. She generously gave her time, talent, and energy to numerous charitable and civic organizations throughout Houston. Her dedication to improving the lives of others earned her many honors, including recognition as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Woman of the Year, American Cancer Society Pearl Honoree, Woman of Substance honoree benefiting LEAD Houston, and Crohn's & Colitis Foundation’s Woman of Distinction.
Above all else, Kristen cherished her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, caring aunt, and loyal friend. Her greatest joy came from celebrating the people she loved and creating lasting memories.
Kristen is survived by her loving mother and stepfather, Janeen and Julian Fertitta; her father, Ernest Cannon; her sister, Tina Cannon; and her brother, Sam Cannon. She is also survived by her stepbrothers, Joey Lovell, and Colby Lovell. Family, Julian Fertitta III and his wife Stephanie, Jason Fertitta and his wife Courtney, and Zack Fertitta and his wife Elizabeth.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Kristen's beautiful spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and in the enduring example she set of a life lived with purpose, compassion, and grace.
