Kristy was one of those people who leave a mark on your life. She always was there for me and made me smile each time I was around her. My heart is broken over her passing.

Such a tragedy that Kristy's life story was cut short. I know her family and friends are in deep mourning. Look for the signs she sends to show you her love will never go away. Kristy and I became chums during our elementary years because of Girl Scouts. I was the silly one and she was the smart one. I don't know how many times she let me take credit for her smart ideas; probably more than I know. I'll never forgot our Brownie days, or the times we dance to a Cyndi Lauper record in her room! We were silly and had so much fun doing it! Sadly as we aged, our paths crossed less and less in high school. For that I am sorry. Looking back, I should have tried harder to stay in touch better. I missed out knowing the adult Kristy. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.

Kristy was truly amazing. She always made my husband and I laugh every time we saw her in the airport or flew a trip with her at United. One thing she always did was told us how old the kiddos were in months. I will never forget when she told me Rhys was 56 months old, I busted up laughing and asked how she could do math that fast in her head. I had to pull out a calculator to see how old he was and she just laughed at me as I did it. It always made us laugh and smile. She was truly an amazing individual inside and out. Her family will always be in our prayers.

To Rhys and Alyssa - Your mother is a beautiful person, inside and out. We met as Resident Assistants in Estill Hall where your Aunt Stacey lived as well. We climbed Enchanted Rock, made mix tapes, and spent a lot of late nights hanging out. It was a very 1990s experience. She introduced me to the band Cake, so she is forever tied to them.
She did exactly what she wanted to do. She studied French with the intention of traveling the world as a flight attendant. She's persistent: if she started it, she finished it. This goes for academics, career, and marriage. She wanted to be mother and although we haven't met I know that she was dedicated to it.
In retrospect, I can't believe that I was lucky enough to be invited to her bachelorette night. Sadly, this is the last time we were together and that was decades ago.
You are well-loved by a community that loves her.

I've been struggling to find the words to accurately capture my memories of Kristy. When I think of Kristy, I just think of warmth. She was such a warm person with a smile to give every time I saw her, even when we were tired after closing out Residence Halls at SHSU. This warmth has definitely been passed to her kids, they will carry that with them forever. When I met them recently, they were both just such warm people. While I'm very sad that she is no longer here on earth with them and Josh, I take great comfort in the legacy she has left in her children. They will touch so many people with the warmth she passed on to them.

Smiling - I don’t think I ever saw you without one!!! It takes a very special person to juggle the life of work, kids, marriage, life and you our friend did a fantastic job. The foundation of the life you wanted and worked so hard for your family will live on as you are loved & admired by so many!! Our memories of trivial pursuit game nights, LEO wives supporting each other & “Framily” get togethers will forever hold a special place in my heart!! The Law Enforcement Careers of our husbands brought us all together and rest assured it will stay that way as we support & help your family navigate through this today, tomorrow and forever. You definitely made the world a better place with your compassion & caring heart, Thank you for your friendship Kristy!!!

Kristy was such a large part of my high school memories! She was a wonderful and caring friend! She along with Michelle and I spent lots of time together! We cared about our schoolwork and all the many clubs/organizations we were involved in. Kristy was a special friend that is such a pivotal piece of my story...she will be missed! This is a pic

The first time I met Kristy was shortly after she and Josh were engaged and he introduced her to his group of Beaumont friends. My first impression of Kristy was that she had a beautiful smile and was very kind. I had never seen a happier couple; we could tell how much they loved each other and this great love gave hope to us all. It was an honor watching their lives and family grow over the years.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Josh and Kristy’s family during this difficult time.
