I remember the year my students entered the VFW essay scholarship contest and your post selected two of my students as winners. I was happy to see both you and Mrs. Holsinger there at the awards dinner! Later that school year my school hosted a small reception for Veterans. You were happy to be there.! Thanks for coming as my special guest. I hope you get to fish with my husband Johnny in heaven.

Larry remember the hard work demanded of the four of us sons to help Dad and Mom reinvent the farm we grew up on. Also, remember the fun times of playing baseball with neighbors, the evenings of homemade ice cream, a trip to the store for a favorite candy bar, playing Rook all night and watching football games together. Till I see you again...

I'll never forget Larry the time you chased me down through the woods in Mayland, Virginia with a blacksnake you had picked up. I ran like hell but you didn't catch me. Ha!!! The good times we had will never be forgot: picking up black walnuts, hunting old bottles, fishing trips on Lake Conroe and Willis, Tx., and oh let's not forget all the Rook card games, and awesome was the fishing trips on the Shenandoah river.
