and Andrea Dawn Dolphus in Houston, Tx. He proudly served in his high
school ROTC and graduated in 2015. Before answering the call to serve his
country and going off to the army, he married in 2016. Though his journey
there was cut short due to scoliosis, his sense of duty, discipline, and protective
nature never left him. Despite his dedication, life’s path changed again and he
was divorced in 2024, but he faced it all with strength and an open heart. He
lived, he loved, and he learned. But beyond the achievements, it’s his smile, his
laugh, and his words that will echo forever in our hearts.
Larry Jr. leaves to mourn his passing his mother Andrea Dolphus, father Larry
Menifee, the sisters LaAndrea Menifee, LaShara Menifee, and Lyria Menifee.
Grandmother Mary Bradford. Grandfather Larry Wells. Aunties Ersula
Dolphus, Eunice Dolphus, and Antoinette Blake. Uncles Dwayne Nabors and
Frederick Menifee. A host of cousins and extended family. He is reunited in
heaven with his grandmother Rowrena Wells.
Larry’s favorite scripture, a source of comfort for him and now for us, Psalms 23.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”. Those words brought him peace,
and in that same spirit, may we all find peace knowing he rests now beside still
waters. Surely, goodness and mercy will follow his memory, all the days of our
lives.
