Mr. Larry Donald Willis

Larry Donald Willis came into this world on November 24, 1957, in Houston, Texas, born to Orie Willis and Gertha L. Willis. From the very beginning, Larry carried a warmth and easygoing spirit that made people feel good around him.

Larry attended Lincoln High school. He was a wonderful man that enjoyed sports, cooking everything especially barbeque and working with his hands. What mattered most to Larry was family. He loved his children deeply and cherished every moment spent with the people he cared about. His presence—steady, kind, and full of life—will be missed more than words can say.

Larry was the proud father of Kedrick Johnson and Kevin Johnson, and bonus father to Kente’ Johnson. He is preceded in death by his father, Orie Willis, and his nephew, Justin Willis.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him close in their hearts: his sons; his devoted mother, Gertha; his brothers, Edward Willis, Marvin Willis, and Kevin Willis (Darlene); and his sisters, Deborah Williams, JoAnn Walker, Sharon Willis, and Valerie Willis.

He is also remembered with love by his aunts, Lenora Burns and Charlene Martin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were blessed to share life with him.

Larry’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and the kind of everyday goodness that stays with you. His memory will continue to live on in the stories told, the meals shared, and the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, US, on May 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location on May 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
