Latasha Nanette Roberts was born in Houston, Texas to Phillis Roberts and Robert Spivey on March 7, 1987. Latasha graduated from Booker T. Washington High School with Honors as Magna Cum Laude in the top 10 percent of her class. Latasha continued her education at the University of Texas in Austin, Tx. She was a highly driven, extremely smart, giving and a loving young lady. She was currently employed with Royal Sonesta Hotel and diligently served as a front desk Concierge. She had two wonderful children, Jaden (2 years old) and Josiah (8 months old) whom she loved dearly. She was an excellent mother. Latasha loved her family very much and she loved to sing. She was saved, baptized and came to Christ at a young age. She is now resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father and praising God with those who preceded her in death: her grandparents: Elder Howard L. Roberts and Mahalie A. Roberts and her cousin Adrian B. Roberts. Latasha leaves to cherish her memory her children: Josiah Isaiah Colquitt and Jaden Aniah Colquitt (father of her children, Joshua Colquitt, her children's grandparents: Mr& Mrs. Colquitt); father, Robert G. Spivey; mother, Phillis N. DeWalt and husband Samuel D. DeWalt; sister, Jessica A. Leavell; brother, Patrick D. DeWalt; two maternal aunts & uncles and loving cousins. Her memory will also be cherished by her paternal grandmother, sister, niece, nephew, uncle, three aunts, a host of cousins and many friends.

A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is stilled A place is vacant in our home, That never can be filled Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe in His breast, Thereby love overshadows Sweetly, her soul shall rest.

Tasha.. My best friend, my sister, my prayer partner.. Since September our 3rd grade year.. We never lost contact instead we grew together.. Everything we shared with one another.. We have some wonderful memories over the years omg... Tasha it's so hard for me even months later because we have NEVER not talked this long over our friendship.. Still I look forward to you calling me letting me talk to the kids... or laughing about something stupid.. NOBODY WILL NEVER REPLACE THAT BOND WE HAD.. I can honesty say u were a true friend.. i will never find no one like u.. NEVER.... I CHERISH our friendship. You have blessed so many people with so many.. I'm honored and so blessed to say you are and always will be my best friend as I will always be your only best friend... But God do not make mistakes.. You are no longer in this evil place called the world. We will all meet again. I miss u soooooooo much but I know u in the a Wonderful place called Heaven. I'll always remember your smile! Everytime we called you Aaliyah, you would laugh and smile! I know it may not seem like much but to me that is just enough I'll hold on to that memory of you! It so hard to think of a sweet young lady like you is gone but know you are at rest! God will see your loved ones through!!!

Tasha. My Cousin, my friend, my sister. Tasha was my first prayer partner. We would war on each other's behalf. So many days of prayers, studying the word of God, and decoding dreams that we had. That was her favorite thing to do. We were truly connected in the spirit. Latasha, for now, you can rest without me. I will see you again, but I must first complete my task here on earth. We would've done some serious damage to satan's kingdom! I will do it in your memory. Love you, RIP.

Even though I did not get to spend time with my cousins much because we live in different places, I still love you just the same as the cousins I see often. I wish I had a chance to know Latasha better, she was truly an amazing person. Love, Tammy & Darrell Mitchell
