Laura Spradlin Cole, born in Scott City, Missouri, on March 9, 1933 to parents Maggie and Edward Spradlin, died at her residence, Spanish Meadows, in Katy, Texas on Thursday, June 26, 2014. A longtime resident of Houston, Tx, she is survived by her loving son, Alan Cole, his wife Melissa Cole and her grandson Michael Cole. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Otte and Helen’s husband Vic Otte. Laura had a long career in the insurance industry and studied at the University of Houston to further her career. After retirement, she enjoyed playing bridge and had a special love for her cats. Laura will be greatly missed by her family. Graveside Service will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery at 13001 Katy Fwy on Thursday July 10, 2014 at 10:30am.
