Laura B. Lira

On March 21, 1961, Laura was born in Houston, Texas to Jose and Angela Lira. She was the 10th of 11th children. Laura graduated from Macarthur High school. She was a very special little girl growing up and was loved by all. Laura accepted Christ and completed her sacraments at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in her teenage years. She was a shy person growing up and she loved all her nephews and nieces.

On Thursday, November 2,2023, our little sister, Laura Lira (age 62) was called by our Dear Lord, after a long illness. She is preceded in death by her father Jose O. Lira, mother Angela B. Lira and brother Joe Elizondo.

Laura leaves to mourn her sisters; Herlinda Moreno and Mary Alice Cantu; brothers Roberto Elizondo (Rosario), Santiago Elizondo, Daniel Lira, Richard Lira, Jesus Lira, Alex Lira (Sandra) and Mike Lira (Eva); several nieces, nephews and many family members and friends.

God saw that she was tired, suffering and in pain. God knew her road ahead was getting harder each day for her. Laura would at times say, she was ready to be with mom and dad. Her family encouraged her to be strong, but they saw that she was tired.

Laura will truly be missed.
