Laurel Kathleen Andrews

Laurel Kathleen Andrews 46, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She leaves behind her mother Lynne Wood, her sister Remy Wood Rivera, her father Ben Andrews and her beloved dog Roscoe. Her loved ones miss her so much and will always hold her in their hearts.

Laurel was born in San Francisco, California April 20, 1977, a day the world became a little brighter. She attended St Rose of Lima Grade School, St Pius and Concordia Lutheran High Schools in Houston, Texas and completed High School in Arvada, Colorado.

Laurel was diagnosed with Crohns Disease when she was 25 years old and was a testament to the power of faith, hope and perseverance. She endured and recovered from many difficult surgeries and went on to live many healthy years in between them.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Laurel. She enjoyed creating art, listening to music, learning all she could about history, sending her special cards and care packages. She was devoted to her family, friends, her sweet dog Roscoe and all the other animals that came into her life...

Laurel is also survived by Mark Wood Sr and Kathy Wood, Mark Wood Jr, Kevin Wood and Stephen Wood, Gail Wood-Brooks and Frank Brooks, Richard Wood and Patrice Wood, Hollis Wood and Otto Wood, Michael Sean Wood and Amy Wood, Glen Wood and Hannah Wood. The family of Ben Andrews, Linda Carsey and Pamela Diaz. Laurel is also dearly remembered by Michelle Lando, Berea Leveritt, Marie-Louise Pauson, Chris Desautels, Rett Houck and those in her circle that may not have been mentioned here.

Laurel was the granddaughter of the late Anne Clark Wood and Glen Lynn Wood. She was the cousin of the late Joshua Lynn Wood.

The family requests that no flowers be sent at this time.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas 77077 at 2pm. All are welcome.
