

LaVoisier Rochelle Ball came into the world on March 3, 1977, in Lousiville, Kentucky, to Leethell Ball and Charles Hollins, Sr. She was called to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2015. Rochelle was reared at Palestine Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Calvin Murphy. She remained a member of Palestine/Holy Trinity Baptist Church under Dorothy Ward where she also served as a faithful member of the youth and mass choir. She attended public school in the Aldine Independent School District where she graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in 1995. During that time she was a faithful member of Young Messengers for Christ (YMC) and later Sounds of Praise. Rochelle continued her Christian journey at Love United Methodist Church under Pastor Mike Bowie. She later united with The Point under Apostle Cary Baker. She continued her Christian walk at Mount Olive Baptist Church with her mother under the leadership of Pastor Kelton Henderson. When God called Rochelle home she was a member of New Faith Church where Dr. T.R. Williams, Sr. was her pastor. She was enrolled in Lone Star College majoring in Social Work. She was an Inside Sales Rep. with Waco Filters since February 2007. She was also employed part time at The Toyota Center as a Box Office Associate since 2004 and with Southwest Casino Productions as a dealer since 2004. In her leisure time Rochelle loved zydeco, zumba, working out, and spending time with friends. She especially loved quality time with her mom by traveling, dining, watching old movies, and just having good conversation and mother-daughter fun. She was predeceased by Homerzell Ball (grandfather), Charles Hollins, Sr. (dad), Martease Hollins (brother) and Lois Ball (grandmother). She leaves to cherish her mother Leethell Creeks, stepfather Goree Creeks, two aunts Maurine Reed and Christine Owens, four uncles Lorenzell Ball, Garry Ball (Sonya), Ervin Hollins, and Harold Hollins (Dorothy), God-son Dylan Jones, great aunts, great uncles and a host of family and friends. Services for Rochelle will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015, at New Faith Church, 4315 W. Fuqua St., Houston, Texas 77045.
