Lawrence Wayne Goetzman

Lawrence Wayne Goetzman, age 73, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. Lawrence was born at Heights Hospital here in Houston on November 22, 1947. Lawrence Wayne graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1966. He married Eliazar Goetzman on December 7, 1975

Lawrence worked in Maintenance and was a truck driver for Alamo Linen Service for 20 years. He was laid off and then started working for Admiral Linen Service for 20+ years as a Service Manager before he retired from there. He was a hard worker, super dedicated and did a wonderful job.

He was a member of Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and had a passion for hunting, fishing, coin collecting, and making sure his family was well taken care of.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Lona Mae Goetzman; son, Michael Wayne Goetzman and brothers, James and Bobby Goetzman.

Left to cherish his memory, Lawrence is survived by his wife, Eliazar; children, Gabriel Hernandez (Maria Tovar), Yolanda (Ivan) Espinoza, Diana Yepez, and Elaine G. Orozco (Frank Hernandez); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and brother, Jerry Goetzman.

A visitation for Lawrence will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A burial will occur at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.

Serving as pallbearers are Gabriel Hernandez, Anthony Hernandez, Richard Anthony Hernandez, Joe A. Orozco, Jr., Jesus Esteban Hernandez, Jesse Vigil. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Ethan Goetzman, Bryan Hernandez, Frank Hernandez, Alex Hernandez, Joe Orozco, and Ivan Espinoza.
