Leassie Mae Honea, 83, of Etoile, TX went to be with her Lord Friday, March 4, 2011. She was born June 18, 1927 in Houston to Jessie and Hattie Becker. Leassie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years William T. Honea; 2 sons, Tommy Conner and James Conner; 1 daughter, Alice Hurst. Leassie is survived by 1 daughter – in – law, Karen Conner 1 son – in – law, Everett Hurst; Georgia Clouse who was like a daughter; 1 sister, Becky Varner; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Conner, Jeanette Varner, Marie Hurst, Everett Hurst Jr., Angela McZeal; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be 12:30 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home, with visitation being 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
