

Leatha Ann McDonald, 61, was born in Waterbury, Conn and passed away on November 7, 2011 in Katy, TX after losing her battle with cancer. She was preceeded in death by her father, Henry Francis McDonald, and mother, Fannie Evelyn Glass McDonald as well as her brother Henry McDonald Jr, and sister Martha Gamas. She is survived by three daughters, Candi Carpenter, Laura McDonald and Sarah Fults as well as 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Conlee, Jennifer Langer, Alyssa Jarvis, and Jason and Aaron Fults. Other survivors include her brothers, Gary McDonald and Les Lourigan and sisters Rosemary Stoecker and Margaret Whitmore.
Lea was probably the smartest person anyone could ever meet. She was full of knowledge, loved trivia and thrived on learning new information of all sorts. She enjoyed reading and read many books more than once. Lea was an Executive Administrative Assistant in the healthcare insurance industry for 20+ years. She also volunteered for and organized several charity events for Sheltering Arms Senior Services. An additional memorial service for friends and family in Connecticut will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of New Life, 74 Kelly Road Extension, Middlebury, CT
