

(Andrew) Lee Lusk, 91, was born June 24, 1924 in Morgan County, Alabama, and died on March 10 2016, in Houston of natural causes. He was the son of Joseph Lawrence Lusk and Cornelia Lee “Katie” Prater with foster parents Frank and Anette Rentfrow. Lee was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U. S. Navy joining the day after Pearl Harbor and remained 38 months overseas. He attended the University of Houston, and worked as a Geophysicist in the Oil & Gas industry and was a pioneer in Landsat imagery for identification of prospect drilling sites globally. He was a member of the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Lee was a loving husband survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Rogers Lusk; sons, Frank and wife, Lauren Matthews, Allen and wife, Catherine Zwack of Sugar Land, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth and husband, R. C. Meier III of Wimberley, Texas; grandsons, Dylan, Brenden, Anderson, and Cooper Lusk all of Sugar Land, and Brandon and Derek Meier of Austin, Texas; brother Ray Lusk of Blooming Grove, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Ruby Bowling, and Zola Gillen; brothers, John, C. C., J. Lloyd, Clyde, Joe, Alonzo “Buddy”, and Dwight.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at Forest Park (Lawndale) Cemetery in Houston at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 with Rev. Michael Jarboe officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asked that you give to the charity of your choice.
