Leeland has been one of my dearest friends for 54 years. Our families were very close as we grew up and we remained close through all the joys and sorrows of our lives. At a time like this we would have called each other. I have so many wonderful memories as I know many others do.  Taylor and Kristin, your dad was so proud of each of you and of your dear brother, Justin.  I know that you and your families know what a strong, but gentle man Leeland was and his love will shine always through your hearts and the hearts of your children.  We will all miss those wonderful huge hugs of his and we will always remember that smile and laugh! Much love and peace to you all.

Leeland was one of the most kind-hearted guys you could ever meet. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.

Leeland was good friend and was always there with a helping hand.  Leeland will be missed by all.

I have so many great memories of Leeland, from church (Fair Have UMC), from school (SWHS), from Chorale, and from the musicals we all participated in. He was fun, funny, fun-loving, and a "Teddy Bear" of a man. I refer to him as a gentle giant! He will be missed by all who loved him.

Leeland Knight was a good man who helped a lot of people. He was a good example of service to his fellow. He was a man of action. He will be missed by many. May his family be comforted by God's peace in their time of sorrow.
