Leonard "Lenny" Sullivan

Justin, 85 years, passed away peacefully Friday September 24th ,2021. He was born on November 3rd, 1935 in New Orleans to I. Leonard Sullivan and Alice Maitrejeanne. He was a graduate of De La Salle High School’s second graduating class where he was president of his senior class. He was also a 4-year letterman in football. Lenny received his Business Degree from Tulane University and his Juris Doctor Degree from Loyola University. He worked his entire career with Shell Oil Company as a corporate tax attorney. Lenny was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and the Knights of Columbus at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston.

Lenny, a devoted husband, father, brother and friend was welcomed with open arms by his beloved daughter Caroline Jorgenson Hebel. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, son Peter (Kelli) of Houston, daughter Lara (Tom) of Ridgewood, NJ, grandchildren Alex Jorgenson and fiancé Diem Chi, Aimee Jorgenson and fiancé Phillip Curry, Kate Sullivan all from Houston, Caroline Ragon Blanchard (Chris) Metairie, LA, Catherine Ragon of Austin, son-in-law Craig Hebel and grandson Andrew Hebel of Cypress, TX, his devoted sister Kathleen McNeil of Annapolis, MD and great grandson Henry Blanchard of Metairie, LA.

Lenny will be greatly missed by his family and friends who will continue his legacy with his favorite “spirits” of a bloody Mary, beer in an ice-cold mug and a scotch. Remembering his inviting words of “What can I fix ya?”

Internment and mass of Christian burial will occur at a later date at Lake Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Metairie, LA. Memorial contributions can be made in Lenny’s name to Tulane Catholic Church Center for Life. The address is 1037 Audubon Street, New Orleans, LA 70118.
