Leonardo Hurtado

Leonardo Hurtado, 82 of Tomball, Texas was called home by his Heavenly Father on December 30th, 2023. He was the most loving husband, an amazing father, and the most extraordinary Pa-Paw. He was the strongest man we have ever known. He has overcome so many battles and he fought so hard to stay but our Heavenly Father decided this time it wasn't to be, he took his last breaths surrounded by his Lady and his 4 V's. Leonardo was drafted into the Army and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. He married the love of his life Maria in June 1969. LEONARDO attended the University of Houston and studied art. He was a dedicated employee of Weingarten, Appletree, The city of Houston Police Department, and Precinct 6 Constable Department. Leonardo loved his family, a good meal, Elvis Presley, and AL teams Houston; Oilers, Texans, Astros, Rockets, and especially his beloved Houston Cougars. He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Hortencia Hurtado and his siblings: Marcus, Jon, and Marina Hurtado. He is survived by his wife Mary, his 4 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild: Vanessa (Arnold, Alexandria, Alyssa), Vicki (David, Gabriella, Brianna, Christian, Alayna), Veronica (Carlos, Arianna), and Valarie (Jason, Jagger, Jonas, Jordan)Details for a celebration to honor his life can be found at dignitymemorial.com

A rosary will occur Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4015 Sherman St, Houston, Texas 77003. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4015 Sherman St, Houston, TX 77003.
