Leonardo DeVinci Thomas “Leo”, was born August 3, 1965 in Nacogdoches, TX. to the late William Hoyt Thomas Jr and Cordelia Thomas.
At the age of 3 years old, his family moved to Houston, TX. where he was a proud graduate of Westbury High School class of 1983. Then he went on to further his education at Jarvis Christian College majoring in Business Administration along with his best friend/brother Curtis Abram and he moved on to study at Texas Southern University majoring in Architecture. Leo’s best friend Curtis and their other friend Anthony Selders played high school basketball together and Leo and Curtis also played College basketball together. As he journeyed on in life, Leo published his first paperback book in 2010 titled: THROUGH DEVINCI EYES: Poetry of Evolution Inspiration and Vision From a Poet, which was dedicated to his Almighty Father God through Jesus Christ, lovely daughter Crystal Thomas, two sisters Antoinette “Tonya” and Denise “DeeDee” and loving memory of his parents William and Cordelia Thomas, family and friends.
Leo grew up in a family of strong believers of God who were being taught the Word of God, knowing God and trusting God, even through the good and the bad. God was his source, his anchor and his leaning post.
Leo was preceded in death by both parents, William and Cordelia Thomas.
