Leroy made his walk on January 28, 2016. He survived by his wife Josephine and daughter Rachel Mansfield of Cypress, Texas. His son, Royce Mansfield, a musician, and his daughter, Arrianna Mansfield, a professional chef of Houston, Texas. His mother, Cipriana Mestas and sister Natalie Thrasher of Mr. Vernon, Missouri along with uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and relatives from New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Leroy was proceeded in death by his sister, Eileen Daniel of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and his father, Leroy Senior of Boston, Massachusetts.
Leroy graduated high school in Marionville, Missouri and attended Northwest Baptist Bible University of Bolivar, Missouri. His passion was baseball and was left handed pitcher with a fast ball that led him to be scouted by several colleges. By profession, he excelled as a sales representative with a local tire company. For his outstanding work, he earned a trip to Talladega race way, with pit passes included in his reward; and experience that inspired him to continue working with cars for the rest of his life.
Leroy was known to play jokes on people, but was renowned for heart that showed in acts of kindness that warmed many people from all walks of life.
Leroy loved to fish and enjoyed creating delicious meals which took hours to prepare. Music was also a significant part of his life that shaped his view of the world, strengthened his faith, and lifted his spirit.
The path which Leroy took was not an easy on through his journey in life. He maintained a deep personal relationship with his creator. He was known to share his love of the father with all the lives he touched. Leroy will be deeply missed by many.
