I don’t even know what to say right now...it didn’t register in my head properly when I received the news. I haven’t seen him in a long time but, Lester and I were good friends, like shimoi said, we chased chickens, road bikes, ran up and down all over contant. Muller school is where it all started! My dear cousin. I can't believe that you're gone. I wish we had more time. We were supposed to grow older and closer together while we watched our families grow. You were such a family man and a tortured soul. I wish I could have reached you. I wish you would've listened. Most of all I wish you were here. I will miss you.  I pray the heavens open up and lift your spirit into paradise. May all your sorrows be washed away and may you finally find peace. Tonya and I have been friends since we were five years old.  I remember how happy Tonya was when she first met Lester. The moment she introduced us to Lester we all became fast friends and grew very close. Lester was easy to get along with and always had a welcoming smile. When we talk about the times that our families spent together it brings a smile to our faces when we remember the fun times that we shared. Our circle is incomplete now. We will always treasure the times that our families spent together and we will miss you dearly.

Lester, your untimely passing has left a void in many lives and you will truly be missed. Riding bicycles, chasing chickens,  playing volleyball, getting in trouble together, making fun of each other . Although we were far away and sometimes not in contact with each other, our friendship goes way back. Me, You, Dekiesha, Kebo, Janelle, Nancy the list goes on . But it pains me to lose a very close friend that had so much going for you and the family. Lester, you were a proud father and you talked about your family all the time. You spoke about how the children were growing and their accomplishments in school.  You spoke of goals that you made for the future. (Sigh) It was amazing how you could light up a room getting their attention to laugh at your jokes!

I met Lester and Tonya at an Open House I hosted in 2017 in Sugar Land, TX. They stood out among the others, I guess partly because my name is Tonya also and spelled the same way. This is when our friendship began. Lester and Tonya narrowed it down to two favorites. One was Lester’s favorite and the other was Tonya’s favorite. We went back and forth visiting both addresses and it appeared to be an impasse. Tonya still favored one and Lester favored the other. After looking again at both, Tonya evaluated the pros and cons and felt that the house that Lester favored was the better choice. They moved in and often invited family and friends over for get together where Lester would cook and BBQ. Lester was very quiet around me but always polite. It was apparent he loved his family.  They attended church regularly. After Tierra was born, they invited friends and family to her baptism and celebration. It was a loving ceremony and a true testament of their faith in God.

My love for almost 17 yrs. You laid your eyes on me from junior high school and made it your mission to become my romance. From 2004 to your untimely passing, we did almost everything together, except work.
