Lila Nell Driver

Lila N. Marsh Driver, 88, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Southern Knights Senior Living Community in Tomball, Texas. It is a caring and loving community that treated her like family. Lila was born in Crockett, Texas to Willie and Ruby Ferrell Marsh on October 10, 1932.

She was the oldest of three girls. She married Virgil Driver at age 19. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Ina Rae Mayo. Lila will be remembered for her compassion for others, her gift of sewing, embroidery, making baby quilts, serving in the food pantry, and most of all for loving God and loving her family. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the church choir. She worked at Walgreens for 14 ½ years. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Glenn and Sharon Driver of Kaplan, LA., Mark and Jamie Driver of Livingston, TX, and Terry and Gregory Thomas of Spring, TX. She has 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13401 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Crockett, Texas.
