I can't even begin to count the amount of pictures we have sitting on a bench at my Momma's house.  We knew it was picture time when she would say go sit on the bench. I can close my eyes and imagine her sitting there. She would be there almost everytime I pulled up to see her and she would sit there in that spot and watch me leave. I'm so grateful  our friend's Dad " Sunshine" rebuilt her benches for me to enjoy. So when you come by my house, sit with me, stay awhile. Laugh, cry & make memories with us. Overwhelmed with all kind of emotions.  Some days are just hard. Some days I can't stop thinking about you.  I love you..... 

Time, it just keeps going. Some days are so fast that I don't realize how much time has gone by.  The kids are growing, life is changing & time just keeps passing. Life has changed so much. So many things I've wanted to share with you.  Only you.  We just keep going and going and going.  I tell myself to stop sometimes, slow down enjoy it a little bit. But by the time I do that the day is gone. 
 I spend time with Aunt Lily and talk to her often. It soothes my soul when I'm with her. I imagine how fun it was & would be if the 3 of us were together. Oh man we would laugh, cry & stay up talking for hours lol.  I took some of you home to San Antonio, a part of you needed to be there with family. 💗 Aunt Lily placed you in their home. I was so nervous driving it there but was so happy because I knew it gave Aunt Lily comfort.  I told her I hope she got an ear so you could hear her talking to you 😁

My beautiful wife, another year has come and gone and I still have a hard time without you. Having to deal with the loss of you and my mom only one day apart is sometimes a little overwhelming. Now that everything I’ve worked for has been taken away makes it more difficult. But I will continue on my way and pray with you every day until I see you again. I love you and miss you so much. Today is Carsyn's 11th birthday. 11! Can you believe your baby girl is growing so much! Attitude just like yours.  When I look at her, I see so much of you.  Then I see our relationship & connection the same with Carsyn & I. We went out to celebrate. She had so much fun. We were doing our usual at home dinner & sing happy birthday desert & Scarlett came to me crying.. She said I miss Grandmama. Heart hurt, ugh. I miss you, we all do.  Not a day goes by that I dont think of you, all of us. They feel it & they miss you so much.  Especially when we are with Steve.  Momma I'm so grateful for the time that I did have with you & I really do appreciate all you did for me.  It's so difficult day to day being without you.  I love you Momma

Mother's Day just passed.... I shared a photo of us. On the caption I put "I know what LOVE is because of my Momma"  all of our memories ran through my head.  It's like they are on replay. Then I squeeze my eyes real tight & focus on little things . I miss the little things the most.  The girls miss you so much.  They both have their moments & it hurts to watch them go through it.  I love how strong of memories they have of you. I won't let them ever forget. I think it's been harder for me to share on here lately.  Because I feel like maybe it makes it more real or something.  A reality I have yet to fully accept...  I visited  Aunt Lily recently. It was awesome.  I watched videos of you as a little girl. Scarlett reminds me of you.  Always dancing! I know that's what you're doing now.  I can picture it. Man, I miss you so much Momma. 

Days just keep going & nights pass so fast. Some days I don't feel, I just keep going. Then there are nights like tonight. I become overwhelmed when I realize you aren't here.  It hurts to much to cry but then pains me even more if I don't.  I fight through it and it just fades away until my next moment of missing you.  I don't think it gets easier with time. The time might but the thought of being without you hurts more and more each time it happens.  I just need to remember to stay calm.  Tomorrow comes another day....

My beautiful wife I have had a hard time lately dealing with life as you are well aware. I have been praying to you a lot and I believe you have answered my prayers. As you know this year was almost the end of time for me and I really don't think I was afraid of it because I would have been together with you. Your daughter somehow talked me into going to the hospital and they wouldn't let me go. So you taught her well and she pushed on and now I'm here realizing my worst nightmare and sticking myself 6 times a day with a needle. But I'm doing very well and as you know to carry on with new hope. We had thanksgiving dinner this year and I had much to say. There are many changes happening in my life and I will continue to pray for your guidance and blessings. Thank you baby for your help. Until we are together again in Christ.

Thanksgiving just passed again... it just doesn't seem real. All I wanted to do was cry but we gathered together in your honor & made it through another day. I hope you can hear us singing Hallelujah for you.. Scarlett kept telling Carsyn that she misses you.  I'm glad because she is so young and I was afraid she wouldn't remember. But she does Momma she remembers the way you smell, how your feet look, the things you told her, the songs you would make up and sing. Ugh it breaks my heart when I hear them say they want Grandmama. Speaking of Grandmama I carried it on for you. Lol, I can't believe it. Hopefully I can live up to it. I miss you so much Momma that i sometimes feel like I have no tears left. I'm trying, I stay positive or I ignore it, I'm not sure.... I'm so thankful to DC❤ for keeping this web page open for us. It has become the place that I write to you. We love you & miss you.

Sometimes I just don't know what I'm doing and I just need my Momma..... I'm missing you.

My precious wife, I miss our life together so very much! There are things taking place each day that I wish you were here for but I am also happy you don't have to deal with. The grandkids are growing up and they are amazing. You are to be proud honey. As our anniversary came this year I cried missing you but tried to push on, I know you would want me too. Many nights I've spent as you know in prayer with you asking for help about things and I thank you for your blessings. Until we see each other again I LOVE YOU and thank you!

It seems like it gets harder to write. The days are just flying by. Summer is gone your wedding anniversary passed, it's almost Carsyn's 10th birthday. 10! I keep thinking about when she was born. So awesome to have you care for her when I was sick. I miss you taking care of me. I miss the way you would rub my feet and my back. 
The girls, their poor little hearts ache so much. They miss you & its still so hard for me to explain.  If I am too quiet, they both come and check on me, they know my silence means I'm thinking & they know it's you on my mind. 
I did something very special to me. I got a tattoo in honor of you.  A rose. I put it on my right arm. You always told me I was your right arm, so that's where it went. I wear it proudly it's the most beautiful tattoo ever.

It's the middle of the night..... I miss being able to call you when I was scared- You always answered. If the kids were sick you'd jump up & come to them. If I was nervous your voice would soothe me until I was calm. Then we would usually end up laughing so hard trying not to wake anyone else up. I even miss the sound of your quiet laugh with Steve snoring in the background. The tone in your voice telling me you were asleep but you'd always say you were awake.  Yes its crazy even in the middle of the night there are things that remind me of you. I miss the way nights used to be.........❤

Well sweetheart it's been two years and will say it's been really hard for me without you. I tried to see you but it was not in Gods plan at this time. Your daughter came to see me and convinced me to go to the hospital, turns out I needed to get there, now I have to be on insulin and I got heart stents. Who would figure. Life's a little different now and I hope it will get better as I get along in years, you are my hope. The paster spoke Sunday on what heaven was going to be like and all I could think of was you! I have hope that we'll be back together again in time for eternity. I love you and miss you, till we're together again, God bless you!

The boyz did the MS150. So Larry, the girls, Tita & I went to San Antonio to visit Aunt Lily & Uncle Joe. We have so much fun with them, its like hanging out with you & Steve. We love it! We wanted to be there in Austin when they crossed the finish line so we all went. I heard it was a rough ride. But Thomas (your little Tommy) toughed it out.  He crossed that finish line & when I saw him we just threw our arms around eachother & cried. I knew instantly he accomplished that goal in honor of you.  I wanted you to be there so bad. I could hear you yelling in my head "Way to go Z!" I am so proud of them for doing that ride, its amazing the strength they have instilled in them by you.... Thomas said Eye of the Tiger came on right before the race, lol. Miss you Momma...

Momma, I almost lost Steve.  I didn't realize it. I just felt it in my gut or felt you pushing me to go to him. I'm glad I listened. Thank you. I will keep my promise and continue to love and take care of him. I'm so happy because we just sat there the last few days looking at pictures of you & laughing at all your hospital stories. Lol there are so many. He walked & I sang "eye of the tiger". It has been an emotional week. I'm grateful for the time I have to live. I try to create memories & enjoy all of life's gifts. I make it a point to honor you in some way in my everyday life. I miss living it with you but am forever appreciative of the moments I had. Funny how I use to think I had all of this "time" in life. Now I just look at it as moments so none of them are taken for granted.. I love you & I love Steve. Thank you again for watching over him & being his true guardian Angel.❤❤❤

My life just isn't the same. Our lives aren't the same. I miss you so much. I remember when I heard you cry for your mother after she passed, i came in to check on you & asked what's wrong. You were sobbing terribly & you said " I miss my mother so much, you'll understand when you're older, you'll cry for me the same way." Ugh it pains me that you're right. I hate that I'm crying the same way. But I just miss you terribly.

I can't believe the things I remember. Something so small that people take for granted everyday are the things I wish I could have just one more time, one second, one breath. The smell of the pepper I put on my eggs reminds me of the morning giggles we would have trying to be so quiet not to wake up Steve. Cooking caldo de Pollo knowing if I called to tell you I made some you'd come right over. Sitting on my couch in your usual spot cracks me up because you could never get up out of it, lol. The sound of your heels walking on my wood floor. In my car I miss holding your hand while I drove or pointing my finger in your face just to annoy you. Everytime this certain commercial comes on playing what a wonderful world , we all freeze & get emotional. I miss all of the big things too but it's crazy what triggers my mind to think of you.  It's all these little things that i never appreciated before but now just want them so badly. I am teaching my children to remember these moments. don't forget even the littlest of things. It's crazy how the mind works.... or is it you sending me Lil hints to let me know you're there? I miss you Momma......

Momma! Carsyn turned 9 years old. I did everything the same. She wanted her party at home with everyone around her. The night before her birthday she was in the car & she was crying for you.  I tried to cheer her up but she just misses you so much. She is growing up too fast. Steve was so cute, he helped me alot with party. He made his chili too, lol. I don't let him get away with anything. There are days he just comes and hangs out here. The girls are so loving on him. We still do our trips to get ice cream.  He went to Carsyn's open house too. I'm so proud of him, I know it's hard for him to make it day to day. But we are all trying. We love you Momma... I still can't believe you're gone..    but I'm staying strong..

September 18th is another year that I celebrate being married and so very much in love with you. I can't ever seem to express to people how being in love with you and married to you felt so wonderful and full filing because of our faith and love for God was so much a part of our lives together. I hope to send that message to our children as they push through life in their own marriages . I Love you baby and miss you so much. Till we are reunited again in Christ.

Hey Momma! You have been on my mind everyday. Got to go camping with the family including the grand babies recently. And several times I thought you could positively hear their laughter as they laughed into the sky & enjoyed the experience. They were a delight. Made me think of how much you loved them.

Momma!!! Scarlett did it! She rode the bus to pre-k. You kept running in my mind all day. I wanted to cry with you because our last baby went to school. She was so excited, I put a bow in her hair & she wore a tutu skirt. Yes I let her be girly! Momma, I pick up the phone to call you all of the time, I just can't believe that you're not physically here. I hear Scarlett talking to you all of the time. The one year anniversary of your passing has come and gone. I will say the time flew by and they say it's supposed to get easier but I beg to differ. This has become extremely difficult and hard to overcome being without you. I find myself breaking down anywhere and anytime without control. You are so greatly missed. Cindy and the girls have tried very hard to help me through this and I appreciate all they do but I long to hold and kiss you again especially when Scarlett tells me she talks to you at night, this makes Cynthia and I so jelous, but I like to hear her tell me anyway. I miss you baby and can't wait to be with you forever, Love you with all my being.

Momma, the time is just going by so fast. We had my birthday the past week. Last year was the 1st time you weren't by my side because you were in the hospital.  This year you're gone. Friends & family came to sing happy birthday to me & eat crawfish. While they sang all I could see was your face flashing before me. I wanted to cry, i wanted to hold you,  smell you,  pick on you,  celebrate with you. I'm heartbroken Momma. I'm trying to stay strong for you. The girls miss you so much. They never stop talking about you. Poor Steve he has to take on all 3 of us girls on his own. He comes over, he calls & even still goes shopping with us. We always laugh about our good times. September 18th marks another year in my glorious marriage to my angel,  it will be 16 years that we are wed and 18 years happily together. This anniversary will be very difficult as the first since her passing. I have such hard times being without her and don"t really know how to cope sometimes. The good lord is my saving grace in that matter. He is the only one I can truly depend on. So as Sept. 18th comes I want to wish my Angel a happy anniversary and an eternity of love to come. I met you around 1994 when I met your ldaughter, Cynthia. I couldn't wait to come over because your family was so big and so much fun.  I remember you as a "tell it as it is" person, so genuine and far from fake.  I really appreciated your sincerity and kind- heartedness toward me.  I can't imagine the emotional and physical pain you felt from this disease but I know you are free and restored to bliss! Please know that you touched a part of my life and will always be remembered.  Thank you.

Cynthia we have known each other for a long time before I ever joined law enforcement. Over the past couple of years I had the privilege of meeting your mother and talking to her numerous times. She was a very nice lady and I am sorry for your loss. I worked around the area of where she lived and never acquainted with it being your Mom.  I wish you and your family comfort during your loss and may God bless you.

I only knew grandmama for about a year, but I can say she was very important to me. I miss her so much. She was such a strong person, and she was so loving and caring. She treated me as if I was one of her own "grandbrats". I love how happy she was all the time and how able she was to stay positive even through the hardest times. I will never forget her. She's in a better place now and I'm happy knowing that. I love you, grandmama.

um.. I don't really know what to say .. but all I know is that I miss her.. a lot. probably more then I've missed anyone in my life. but she's in a better place now and I love her so much for being an amazing and big part of my life. she's taught me so much about being a man and showing me how to care and love my family. she'll always and forever be in my heart and she'll never be forgotten.

It is so difficult to find the words to express my condolences and the emptiness in my heart. Sister you will be truly missed.  Although I know that you are in a better place, where there is only peace, serenity, and you are free of pain, I can't help but to feel utter sadness.  I saw you fight with so much faith that you were going to beat this cause you had so much to live for.  I think that is the hardest thing for me. One month ago today the most beautiful person I have ever known went to be with our Lord. This has left me with a huge void in my life and in my heart as I am sure many others. I am trying to remember our good times to cope with this but at times find it very difficult. My only grace is I know someday I will be reunited with her in God's presence to do all the things we love to do together without pain or heartache. There are so many blessings Linda brought me I can't even begin to list, but the wonderful love she showed me can never be forgotten or replaced. I truly Love and miss my sole mate. Thank all of you who took the time to note your thoughts for Linda and her family, it is much appreciated. I'm sure Linda is looking down and keeping an eye on us all.

Heaven has received a beautiful soul with one of the greatest hearts. Linda you touched so many lives with everything that you did in your community to help those less fortunate and especially looking out for kids.The mango tree will bloom forever in your name as you are the only one that could eat those all day long and not turn orange! You will always be in our hearts and memories and I thank God for the love that you and Steve have for each other. Our Mommy approached every situation and day with optimism, and her positive attitude was magnetic and contagious.  She gave tough love when necessary and cradled you in tenderness at the most crucial moments.  She prepared us for life's challenges, forced us to go out on our own, but also fed and nurtured anyone in their time of need.  She was the ultimate Mother, Wife, Team Mom, and Protector of those she loved.

I only new Linda for about 5 yrs. When my daughter Jamie married her son David, they all welcomed me and my family into their familes. We always felt so welcomed at their family events. I have grown to love all of her children. Linda has some pretty awesome children. I know she is so very proud of each and everyone of them. For those of you that have little ones, just keep talking about their grandma and keep her memory alive and a part if their lives. I pray that each of you find some peace in knowing your mother is in a better place and will wecome you with open arms when it is your time to join her.

I meet Linda when I became friends with Cynthia. At first we did not get along, but eventually I grew on her. We became close over the years. We were able to joke and tease just like family. I feel honored and blessed to have had her in my life. She is an amazing woman. I miss her dearly and everyday.
