Linda Sue Finnerty

Linda was born May 25, 1949, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Houston, Texas, to parents Clive Sam Melson and Evelyn Louise Siegert Melson. She attended Spring Woods High School, where she met Kenneth Thomas Finnerty, Jr. They married on February 1, 1969, and remained married for 55 years until her untimely passing.

Linda had a career as an Import Specialist for U.S. Customs for 42 years. She loved her job, but when it was time to retire, she relished her time as a doting grandmother, loving mother and wife, and avid casino patron.

Linda is survived by her husband, Kenneth Finnerty, her children, Steven Finnerty and Amy Hernandez, her grandchildren, Brendyn Hernandez and Evyn Hernandez, her brother, Michael Melson, and her sister, Margaret Wilson. We will miss her more than words can say.

The funeral arrangements will take place on Wednesday, June 5th at 11:00 AM and will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
