Linda Wenckens Floyd was born on December 23, 1946 in Seattle, Washington. She entered eternal peace July 27, 2021, at the age of 74. Linda had a passion for creativeness and politics. She served on the East Montgomery County Improvement District Board for 16 years (1999-2014). She was directly involved creation of the East Montgomery County Scholarship Foundation that is still available today and will be for years to come and served on the Foundation’s Board. Her love for her community and care for the continued education of it's residents motivated her to always look for ways to generate improvements and possibilities. She loved ceramics and porcelain dolls and made a small business, “Dolls Your Way", which brought her so much joy. When her children were in school, she was always the first mother to volunteer to host arts and craft day. She developed many close friendships through her passion for doll making which included some that were even overseas. Outside of here careers and hobbies, most of all she loved her husband, children and grandchildren. In her life, she was blessed to have found love twice. She was married to Bobby Wenckens for 11 years, but he preceded her when he passed June 25, 1979. Their marriage brought her first child, Richard B. Wenckens. She later married Monte Floyd on March 7, 1982. During their 39 years of marriage they had 2 daughters, Kimberly Floyd and Heather Floyd Pillow. Monte devotedly stood by her side until her final moments.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents (grandparents), Reese B Lovell and Lee Lovell; biological mother, Ida Mendez; first husband, Bobby Wenckens and brother, Michael Teahan. She is survived by her husband, Monte Floyd; son, Richard Wenckens (grandson Michael Wenckens); daughter, Kimberly Floyd (husband Christopher Talbut); daughter Heather Pillow (grandchildren Olivia Pillow and Lance Cray).
